Postpartum care center sales: look beyond signing the contract

In my view, price is the final step in closing a sale. Service quality must support the center’s positioning, and sales staff must help clients understand the care their payment covers. This provides a basis for persuading clients to accept the price.

Who heads the nursing department, who manages it and how care duties are assigned; who bathes the babies and how it is done. Sales staff should explain these arrangements and the thinking behind them, developed during the center’s planning, so clients can see the strengths of the service.

At the same time, sales staff should not make guarantees the center cannot fulfill just to secure a contract. When clients move in and find a large gap between the actual service and what they were told, they can feel deeply disappointed and may leave negative reviews.

Satisfied clients, on the other hand, may continue referring friends and even return to the same center after having their second baby.

When I review sales, I therefore look at both the tour and the service delivered after move-in. Explain the strengths clearly and keep the promises you make, so clients’ trust has a chance to last.
