Client needs and booking decisions
Why do so many postpartum care center tours end without a contract?
When people tour a center but do not sign a contract, owners may first assume the price is too high. Before deciding to lower it, I check: Did the tour answer the questions the client really wanted answered?
For example, if a client asks, “Who takes care of my baby at night?” and the answer is simply, “We provide service around the clock,” she may still be unclear about who does what and how help is arranged when she needs it unexpectedly. Explaining the rooms, meals and packages does not necessarily address that concern.
I review the client’s questions, the staff’s responses and the follow-up communication. When a client still has concerns, the gap may lie in how services are explained and needs are confirmed. That gap needs to be identified first.
Price can be one reason, but client feedback should support that conclusion. If every unsigned contract is attributed to the price being too high, the center may keep changing its rates without addressing what makes clients hesitate.
